J    Idaho is hosting the TBF Regional Championship in 2012. They at looking at Dworshak, C.J. Strike and Lake Lowell as waters to fish.

J    IDFG is looking at trying to poison carp in Lake Lowell next spring; if they do the Federation is going to try and save some of the bass and transplant them.

J    State Team will run the Jack & Jill tournament as a fund raiser.

J    Sport Show is Mar. 3 - 6; SRB is scheduled to do a kid's casting event Friday evening from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. We need at least 6 volunteers to run the event, so please come down and help.

J    The Federation wants us to run a booth at the Cabela's Show; no kid's casting, just talk to people and answer questions.  This is a good opportunity to recruit new members for the club.

J    Discussion on changing the Federation Banquet from Nov. to Feb. and possibly hold it in Twin Falls.

TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR: Tournament director Steve Day reported:

J    Lakeside Bass wants to share our July permit on Cascade. That permit is for our Youth Open and after a discussion we decided to decline to share it.

J    There is still a possibility of holding a Lady Bass tournament on the day after the Youth Open.  The permit should be good for two days.

YOUTH: Youth Director Cody Murray reported

J    No report

J    SRB usually does a Kid's Casting event at the Boise Sports Show on Friday evening.  We need at least 6 people to do it again this year.  People that come to help get a pass to get in the door free.  The date would be March 4.

CLASSIC / HAN: Directors Steve Day and Bill Kriner  reported:

J    The  2011 Hot Summer Night tournament is scheduled for the full moon on Saturday Aug. 13

J    We have a shot at getting signed BSU items to raffle off at the HSN, Youth and Lady Bass tournaments.

J    Everyone needs to remember to bring a can of food or a dollar to each meeting for the Needy Family program.

J    None

J    There was another discussion on increasing the club's size.  A suggestion was made to merge with another club.

J    Another discussion was held on getting with another club and sharing most of our permits.

J    A discussion on having individual plaques for club members and then giving away tags to hang on them at tournaments.  It sounds like the plaques are spendy, but the tags are fairly cheap.

J    Everyone still needs to keep an eye open for a better meeting location.

There being no more new business, President Horrace reminded all that the next meeting would be March 7 at Denny's Restaurant in Nampa.  The meeting adjourned at 8:55 p.m.
