The Snake River Bassmasters is an FLW / TBF affiliated bass fishing club located in Southwest Idaho, and a member of The Idaho Bass Federation. Our club was founded in 1978, became a B.A.S.S. Federation Chapter in 1982 and was instrumental in forming the Idaho State B.A.S.S. Federation. In 2003 we became an FLW-TBF affiliated bass club and helped form The Idaho Bass Federation.

Club members come from all over the Treasure Valley and beyond: from Ontario, Oregon to McCall, Idaho. The majority of the club members are from Caldwell, Nampa, and the Boise / Meridian / Kuna area.

The Snake River Bassmasters meet at 7:00PM on the first Monday of each month at the Deer Flat Wildlife Refuge Visitor's Center near Lake Lowell. This building is at the end of Indiana Blvd.

Snake River Bassmasters Tournament Information

The Snake River Bassmasters usually have 5 or 6 club tournaments per year. These tournaments are fished as team events with each team´s point score being used for year-end awards. Entry into the tournaments is $50 per team; $40 of which is paid out to the top three teams and two big fish awards for that tournament. The other $10 is held back for year-end awards for the top five teams of the year, big smallmouth of the year, and big largemouth of the year. Team option pots are available: $25 and $50 team weight pots and $25 Big Fish pot.

Our club also has a large open tournament each year called Harold Martin Memorial Hot Summer Nights. This night tournament is open to all anglers and runs from 8:00 p.m. Saturday night to 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

Snake River Bassmasters Lady Bass Auxiliary

The Snake River Bassmasters' Lady Bass Auxiliary has an annual open tournament: Snake River Lady Bass Open. In this tournament, guys can drive the boat, net fish or give advice, but only the ladies can fish. This is a half-day tournament with a family barbeque and raffle in the afternoon and is open to any lady anglers.

Another event that Lady Bass and the rest of the club are involved with is an annual Needy Family Food Drive. Club members are asked to bring a can of food or a dollar to every meeting throughout the year. In December, Lady Bass packages this food along with other items donated by local businesses into baskets and delivers the baskets to needy families just before Christmas.

Snake River Bassmasters Youth

Snake River Bassmasters has a Youth Chapter that fishes with club members at regular SRB tournaments. We also sponsor a Kid’s Open tournament every year that allows youth up to age 18 to compete against others their age; there are two age divisions so that younger kids don’t have to compete against the older kids.

Awards Banquet Information

The Snake River Bassmasters annual awards banquet is held during the November club meeting at a local restaurant. After the meeting and dinner, cash and awards are handed out to the club´s top ten anglers of the year, big largemouth and big smallmouth bass for the year. That year´s club officers are also awarded plaques for their service. The President´s Award goes to the person that the president feels has contributed the most to the club over the last year.
